Last Call results!

Yesterday was Last Call at Loon. We had an amazing day for weather, 50 degrees and sunny doesn't get any better! Although the conditions were really too good to watch alot of the competition, I did manage to check out the whole "Agro-crag" section which is pictured above. Let me tell you, this thing was HUGE!!! This feature definitely separated the men from the boys and the women from the other girls who were too afraid to hit it. However, the most amazing/terrifying/death defying trick accomplished on this beast was when Chelone Miller went all the way across the 70+ foot transfer with a surprisingly smooth backside rodeo second try, after nearly dying the first try, and fully going down on the third. All in all he got best trick, best fall, and the biggest balls award! The big winners featured one of our own, sometime employee/team dude Theodore Lavoie, who came away with third place and is pictured above doing a pretty burly air to fakie. Second place went to fellow EB team dude Yale Cousino, and walking away with first and the $1200 purse was Shaun Murphy, and if you've been to Mount Snow this year it's no surprise, this dude kills it! Taylor Owen walked away with the cash for the ladies. A great event once again thanks to Bub, and all the LMP dudes for putting on one hell of a show.

Back to the Boneyard

Went off yesterday in Waterville Valley, NH. EB team rider and Waterville local Pat Moore hosted the event and also killed it in the reincarnated Boneyard park. Check out this article from YoBeat.com. It's the first one I came across although I have no idea what YoBeat is. Apparently it's a "cool" approach at making fun of snowboarding... Hmmm. Nice site though.

Set list.

Pat killin' it.

Chris Carr, also repping EB and killin' it.

Pat and the winners.

World Quarters '09

Here are Monday's highlights from the 2009 World Quarterpipe Championships on the SnowboarderMag site. Looks like it was exactly what it were supposed to be. "A hand shaped quarterpipe, massive bonfire and pallette of PBR make for a lethal combination known only as the World Quarterpipe Championships. An event run by snowboarders for snowboarders."

Keep up with this and the rest of the week's events on Rome Snowboards site and their FuGnar Tour. You should be at Loon for Last Call today...

Like snowboarding, beer, and lots of dudes?

Then do we have a week for you! As all of you should already know this week is the mother of all that is New England snowboarding! This past weekend was the US Open up at Stratton, but who cares about that crap? Monday is when the real fun starts. Rome is putting on the world quarters in beautiful Londonderry, VT at scenic Timber Ridge mountain which is on the backside of Magic Mountain. This is the same place where they held the "Londonderry Pop Festival." The next day pack up your hangover and head up to Waterville Valley for the "Back to the Boneyard" competition put on by EB Team Dude Pat Moore, all I know about this is they have a bus to jib/stall/fall on, and its going to be awesome! While you are in the upper 93 area stop on by the Bunyon Room at Loon around 6:00 for the Ride "Sofa King" premier party, maybe if you play your cards right you'll go home with one of maybe 10 girls that will be there! Bring your "A" game there's going to be alot of dudes... seriously. Then the best one of all is on Wednesday and that of course is the 9th annual Eastern Boarder "Last Call" at Loon Mountain, if you aren't there, quit snowboarding. Check out the set up!
