One night Spike told me about a video treatment he tried to pitch to Bono. A few weeks later I was looking through a magazine and saw an article on Bono and (RED). It really moved me and I went back to Spike and asked him to pitch something else to Bono. A limited edition (GIRL) RED collaboration. (RED) is not a charity or a campaign. It’s a brand that empowers consumers to do what they normally do, shop, and do good at the same time.
Of the 33.2 million people in the world living with
HIV/AIDS, Africa is home to 22.5 million of them. And yet, it takes just around 40 cents to buy the two pills a day someone with HIV in Africa needs to stay alive.
